Qualifications

• 7 years of medical billing experience in healthcare.
• Familiarity with ICD/CPT coding and IDX billing systems.
• CPC certification strongly preferred; oncology certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized coding for complex inpatient and outpatient visits.
• Provides financial counseling and discusses payment options with patients.
• Reviews insurance and pre-certifications for procedures.
• Manages denials and appeals to facilitate cash flow.
• Mentors junior staff and supports Revenue Cycle management.
