Our Specialty Pharmacy Technicians support Banner Family Pharmacy - Specialty Care in downtown Phoenix, AZ. Our specialty care department is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients and their caregivers by assisting with financial assistance and prior authorizations. As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician, you will have the opportunity to work in an outpatient Retail Specialty Pharmacy, handling all aspects of Pharmacy practice, including patient-facing retail duties, with an emphasis on Specialty medications and Disease states. These duties might include, but are not limited to, data entry, filling prescriptions, insurance billing, and point of sale operation. Previous experience in specialty pharmacy is preferred. We are looking for a Specialty Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Banner Medical Institute Pharmacy located at 1441 N 12th Street in Phoenix, AZ! This is a full time position, 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday on Day Shift, hours of 8:30AM - 5PM. The Pharmacy is closed on weekends and federal holidays. Hire On Incentive up to $2,500 available. This position will assist the specialty pharmacist with preparation, compounding and dispensing of medications, non-clinical specialty assessments, order processing, and delivery setup for patients receiving prescription services from the Specialty Pharmacy. Assisting the specialty pharmacists with claims processing, inventory management, and all necessary reporting requirements to maintain URAC Specialty Pharmacy Accreditations and access to a network of limited distribution drugs.
