Job summary

MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Navigator to assist in performing functions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, including receiving orders and communicating with patients about orders and claims.

This staff-level role requires a Washington State Pharmacy Technician License and at least two years of retail pharmacy experience, with preference for specialty program exposure.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of pharmacy experience, preferably in retail.
• Experience with specialty medication programs or specialty pharmacy.
• Retail Pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive orders via telephone, fax, and printers and directly from customers.
• Follow up with patients, providers and pharmacy staff regarding medication orders and claim status.
• Provide guidance and education to patients and their families under pharmacist supervision.
