Job summary

Intermountain Specialty Pharmacy in Denver, CO is seeking a part-time Specialty Pharmacy Technician to support embedded pharmacy teams and clinics. You will assist pharmacists, prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and help patients navigate complex therapy requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, current pharmacy technician certification, and knowledge of state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

High School or equivalent is required.
Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
Current knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice and distribution of drugs.
Disciplinary action may occur for non-compliance.

Responsibilities

Assists the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records.
Prepares medication orders for dispensing and performs calculations as needed.
Fills and maintains medication supplies and monitors controlled substances as required.
Packages and labels medications to minimize waste and ensure accuracy.
Communicates with caregivers and participates in patient safety initiatives.
Supports the mission and values of Intermountain Health and adheres to standards.
