Intermountain Specialty Pharmacy in Denver, CO is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the team at Saint Joseph Hospital. You will assist pharmacists, prepare prescriptions, and support patient access to therapies in a fast-paced retail-like, specialty setting.

The role emphasizes accurate calculations, medication labeling, and collaboration with embedded pharmacy teams. A current technician license and knowledge of regulations are required to ensure safe, compliant dispensing.

Qualifications

• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of approved drugs, controlled substances, and investigational agents.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining records as required by regulation and policy.
• Utilizes pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders for dispensing and performs calculations as necessary, per state law, policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Obtains supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist and understands when a pharmacist must verify tasks.
• Fills and maintains medication supplies, verifies controlled substances inventories, and supports 340B/Charging management.
• Packages and labels medications accurately to minimize waste according to site procedures.
• Communicates with caregivers regarding responsibilities and safety concerns, escalating to the pharmacist when appropriate.
• Delivers consistent, detail‑oriented care and performs other duties as assigned by management.
• Promotes Intermountain Health mission, values, and service behavior standards.
