Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician licensure or Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.
• AZ Board of Pharmacy Wallet Card at time of hire (Arizona).
• Minimum of one year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Ability to attend and successfully complete 160 hours of on the job training.
• Strong customer service focus and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to perform moderate to difficult mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Enroll selected patients in specialty pharmacy services and input patient data into Specialty Pharmacy software.
• Communicate with patients over the phone to overcome financial barriers to treatment and explain complex billing issues.
• Provide adherence management and adherence improvement services to patients.
• Assist with accreditation, licensure, manufacturer contracts, payer contracts, and REMS programs as required.
• Contribute to expanding scope and continuous quality improvement across specialty pharmacy services.
• Collaborate with specialty pharmacists and Fulfillment Center to ensure excellent patient experience.
• Prepare, dispense, and compound medications under direct pharmacist supervision and deliver to patients.
• Follow policies and regulatory requirements and perform other related tasks.
