Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare, dispense, and compound medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will support prescription processing, customer service, and pharmacy operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The position requires AZ-licensed Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern licensure, with on-the-job training and opportunities to strengthen clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.
• Ability to attend and successfully complete 160 hours of on-the-job training.
• Experience with third party claims adjudication and claims rejection reconciliation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, review and interpret prescriptions.
• Prepare, dispense and compound medications accurately.
• Answer phones and communicate with patients as needed.
• Assist with inventory and administrative duties; ensure policy compliance.
