Job summary

UnitedHealth Group’s CPS division seeks a full-time, on-site Specialty Pharmacy Liaison in Hawaii to coordinate pharmacy services within a health system. You will engage with patients, providers and the CPS care team to ensure seamless access to medications and therapy adherence.

The role focuses on prior authorizations, benefit investigations, and patient financial assistance, with data entry and direct patient support under pharmacist supervision. On-site only.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience interacting with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals is preferred.
• Experience as a pharmacy liaison/technician is preferred.
• Experience in health systems specialty pharmacy as an in-clinic technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival.
• Explain benefits of the specialty pharmacy and enroll patients.
• Conduct insurance benefit investigations and prior authorizations.
• Assist with financial aid programs.
• Data entry and verification of patient information.
• Provide support to enrolled patients for therapy, including outreach and adherence checks.
• Triage clinical questions to pharmacist, nurse, or provider.
• Promote CPS through participation in conferences and workshops.
