Job summary

AssistRx in Tempe, AZ seeks a Specialty Pharmacy Liaison to coordinate triaged prescriptions with specialty pharmacies. You will educate pharmacies on program-specific assistance and navigate reimbursement issues, guiding providers and patients on follow-up needs such as prior authorizations.

You will engage cross-functional teams, participate in pilots, and help identify patient access barriers, reporting safety information as required.

Qualifications

• -AA or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or six months to one-year related experience.
• 2 to 4 years of experience interacting with healthcare providers regarding health insurance plan requirements.
• Computer skills Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage questions and inquiries from the Specialty Pharmacies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Answers inbound calls and makes outbound calls to introduce services.
• Records the call details in patient data system.
• Handles difficult patient situations when they arise.
• Identify and report adverse events pursuant to program requirements
• Identify, document, and report safety information

Liaison will provide education to the pharmacy regarding applying program specific assistance and navigate complex reimbursement issues. Liaison will advise the healthcare provider and/or patient of any follow-up needs. (i.e. prior authorizations). Liaison will help to identify patient access barriers and seek resources to overcome barriers. The liaison will lead and participate in pilots, new initiatives, special projects, and cross functional teams.

Pay Range

USD $23.11 - USD $28.89 /Hr.
