Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Texas Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential, such as PTCB.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Attention to detail for accurate labeling, scanning, and preparation of prescriptions.
- Basic computer and scanning skills to operate pharmacy systems.
Responsibilities
- Fill daily drug orders accurately under pharmacist supervision.
- Pick medications from shelving and prep racks to fulfill orders.
- Label and scan finished prescriptions for verification.
- Alert the pharmacist to any scan issues or discrepancies.
- Assist in processing returned drugs per procedures.
