Job summary

Actalent is seeking a customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to support prescription fulfillment and act as a liaison with physician offices and healthcare providers. This position blends pharmacy operations, outbound calling, customer service and data entry in a fast-paced environment.

Under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist, you will prepare orders, handle high-volume outbound calls, maintain logs and ensure accurate documentation while upholding safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls.
• Accurate data entry and computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to physician offices, clinics, and healthcare providers (approximately 80-90 calls per day)
• Handle inbound calls regarding prescription orders and medication inquiries
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and accuracy
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure prescriptions are processed and dispensed in a timely manner
• Accurately document interactions and update patient or prescription information
• Work under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist and prep prescription orders
