Columbus Regional Hospital’s Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a part-time courier to deliver prescriptions and supplies to patients’ homes and hospital offices. You will plan routes, use navigation tools, and communicate with patients or staff during deliveries.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license; job involves substantial driving and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed. Schedule is 15 hours/week, 2:00pm–8:00pm, Monday–Friday.

What you need to know about this position:

• The Specialty PharmacyCourier position delivers pharmacy prescriptions from the specialty pharmacy to patients' homes within a pre-arranged time schedule.
• The position delivers reports, supplies, including pharmacy supplies and medications, and other hospital items to the offices, clinics, and patient homes. Time spent operating a vehicle is 90%.
• The Specialty Pharmacy Courier will be expected to plan routes, utilize navigation systems to locate addresses and follow standard operating procedures that maintain the integrity and safety of the medications delivered. This may include retrieving undeliverable packagesand returning them to the pharmacy. Courier may be required to use a telephone to communicate with the patients or staff during normal operations.
• The base hourly rate for this position is $16.73. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
• This part-time position will require you to work 15 hours a week from 2:00pm-8:00pm, Monday through Friday.

What is required for this position:

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general degree (GED) required.
• One (1) to three (3) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Physical Demands:

The employee is frequently required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and push or pull. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
