Columbus Regional Health is seeking a part-time Specialty Pharmacy Courier to deliver prescriptions and supplies to patients at homes and clinics in the Columbus, Indiana area. The role involves planning routes, using GPS to locate addresses, and maintaining medication safety while following standard operating procedures.

This position requires a GED or high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. Expect 15 hours per week, 2:00pm–8:00pm, Monday through Friday, with compensation at $16.73

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescriptions from the specialty pharmacy to patients' homes within a pre-arranged time schedule.
• Deliver reports, supplies, and hospital items to offices, clinics, and patient homes; 90% of time on the road.
• Plan routes and use navigation systems to locate addresses; follow SOPs to ensure medication safety.

What you need to know about this position:

• The Specialty Pharmacy Courier position delivers pharmacy prescriptions from the specialty pharmacy to patients' homes within a pre-arranged time schedule.
• The position delivers reports, supplies, including pharmacy supplies and medications, and other hospital items to the offices, clinics, and patient homes. Time spent operating a vehicle is 90%.
• The Specialty Pharmacy Courier will be expected to plan routes, utilize navigation systems to locate addresses and follow standard operating procedures that maintain the integrity and safety of the medications delivered. This may include retrieving undeliverable packages and returning them to the pharmacy. Courier may be required to use a telephone to communicate with the patients or staff during normal operations.
• The base hourly rate for this position is $16.73. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
• This part-time position will require you to work 15 hours a week from 2:00pm-8:00pm, Monday through Friday.
