Job summary

Virginia Mason Medical Center is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Liaison to partner with providers, clinical staff, and payers to coordinate care for complex patients requiring high-dollar medications. You will act as an advocate, connecting providers, pharmacies, billing, and social services to ensure an exceptional continuum of care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4–5 years as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.
• ASHP accredited program preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor degree or equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for patients receiving high-cost medications.
• Serve as primary contact for patients undergoing transplant, HIV, cancer therapies, and other complex treatments.
• Act as a bridge among providers, pharmacies, billing, social services, and patient communities to ensure continuum of care.
• Utilize specialized tools to increase prescription capture and medication adherence, and maximize patient retention.
