Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support specialty medications. You will coordinate with physicians, nurses, and pharmacists to ensure timely dispensing and accurate billing while assisting patients with insurance and financial needs.

The role requires MA-licensed pharmacy technicians with EPIC experience and strong customer service skills. On-site in Burlington, MA, typical hours are weekdays with a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician experience with patients in healthcare setting.
• Experience with prior authorizations and renewals is a plus.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with medical software.

Responsibilities

• Review medication regime with patient to determine meds to dispense.
• Process medication orders and ensure correct billing to third parties.
• Monitor patient charts and profiles to meet therapy needs.
• Answer patient questions about service, insurance and financial assistance.
• Escalate clinical questions to a pharmacist when needed.
• Ensure back-up coverage is trained and knowledgeable.
• Report Patient Safety Events per guidelines.
• Forge relationships with pharmacists, clinicians, nurses and patients to support services.
• Understand Medicare/Medicaid regulations and billing guidelines for patient benefits.
