Job summary
Mass General Brigham Incorporated is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to manage specialty medication needs, coordinate with clinicians, and assist with prior authorizations. Eligible candidates will have healthcare interaction experience, strong customer service, and familiarity with EPIC and pharmacy software.
The role is 100% onsite initially, with potential hybrid scheduling after training, and offers a daytime M-F schedule.
Qualifications
- Pharmacy technician experience or related healthcare patient-facing background.
- Experience with prior authorizations and renewals is a plus.
- Proficient in standard computing tools and medical terminology.
Responsibilities
- Work with physicians, nurses and pharmacists to ensure patient medication needs are met on time.
- Review medication regimes with patients and verify billing to third parties.
- Monitor patient charts/profiles to support medication therapy needs.
- Answer patient questions about service, insurance and financial assistance.
- Escalate clinical questions to a pharmacist as needed.
- Provide on-call support on a rotating schedule.
