Job summary

MU Health Care's Mizzou Specialty Pharmacy seeks a clinical pharmacist to manage specialty medications and provide expert guidance to patients, staff, and clinics. You will assess therapy, counsel patients, and contribute to cost-effective, safe pharmacotherapy in a collaborative outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensure by the Missouri Board of Pharmacy.
• Medication Therapy Services endorsement required within 12 months of hire.
• ASHP-accredited residency preferred; board certifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess therapeutic appropriateness of specialty medications using EMR and interview data.
• Provide patient-specific recommendations ensuring safety, efficacy and cost-effectiveness.
• Educate, support, and train pharmacy technicians and staff on specialty medications.
• Serve as a resource for pharmacists, nurses and prescribers on pharmacotherapy.
• Support outpatient pharmacy workflow and department duties as assigned.
