MU Health Care's Mizzou Specialty Pharmacy seeks a clinical pharmacist to manage specialty meds and educate staff. Remote work is possible after training, with quarterly onsite commitments at the Mizzou Pharmacy facilities in Columbia, MO.

The role features a $72/hour base, Monday–Friday schedule, and collaboration across a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will hold Missouri pharmacist licensure, obtain MT Services endorsement within 12 months, and may have ASHP residency or board

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license in Missouri required.
• Endorsement for Medication Therapy Services within 12 months of hire.
• ASHP-accredited residency preferred.
• Experience in specialty pharmacy or clinical specialty disease states preferred.
• Additional licenses/certifications per department as determined by hiring.

Responsabilités

• Assess therapeutic appropriateness using clinical information in the EHR or from patient interviews.
• Provide patient-specific medication recommendations ensuring safety, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness.
• Educate, support, and train pharmacy technicians, patient liaisons, students, pharmacists, and residents.
• Serve as a resource for the pharmacy team, nursing, and prescribers; analyze literature to support usage and contact prescribers as needed.
• Perform outpatient pharmacy workflow duties and other duties as assigned.
• May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in documents.
