Job summary

CPS, part of the Optum family, seeks a Specialty Pharmacist to deliver high-touch care to patients with complex diseases. You will enroll and retain patients, provide pharmacotherapy management, educate providers, and collaborate with care teams to optimize therapy and access.

This role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, sterile/non-sterile compounding, and contributing to formulary and billing projects. A PharmD with state licensure is required; MS or board certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited PharmD degree.
• Active state pharmacist license in good standing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense medication orders to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services including medication therapy management and dosing/monitoring.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to optimize hospital regimens.
• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding with USP compliance.
• Monitor patient outcomes and prevent adverse drug events.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns to ensure workflow
• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance (Joint Commission, state, federal).
