Optum CPS is seeking a full-time Specialty Pharmacist to join the Southern Ohio Medical Center team, delivering expert care for patients with complex, specialty diseases. Location options include Portsmouth or Wheelersburg, OH, or Raceland, KY, with standard daytime hours.

Primary responsibilities include managing specialty therapies, patient education, care coordination, prior authorizations, and adherence monitoring; EMR and dispensing system proficiency is required.

Qualifikationen

• PharmD or BS Pharmacy degree from an ACPE‑accredited college.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing in Ohio.
• Residency or Board Certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Review and manage specialty medication therapies for complex, chronic, or high‑cost conditions
• Provide patient education and counseling on adherence, administration, and outcomes
• Coordinate care with providers, payers, and manufacturers for therapy access
• Oversee prior authorizations and utilization management per payer requirements
• Monitor therapy effectiveness and safety, including labs and adherence metrics
• Ensure REMS and accreditation compliance and reporting
• Support quality initiatives and outcomes reporting for specialty pharmacy
