Job summary

CPS, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Specialty Pharmacist to provide high-touch support to patients with complex diseases and maximize access to care across therapy journeys.

You will enroll and retain patients, deliver exceptional service, educate providers, and contribute to formulary and compliance efforts while expanding knowledge through research and writing. Pay ranges hourly from $44–$79.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited PharmD degree.
• Active state pharmacist license in good standing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense medication orders to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and dosing and monitoring.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and care teams to optimize regimens for hospitalized patients.
• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding, ensuring compliance with USP and hospital standards.
• Monitor patient outcomes and medication safety, identifying and preventing adverse drug events.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance (Joint Commission, state, federal).
