Optum CPS at Southern Ohio Medical Center seeks a full-time Specialty Pharmacist to serve patients with complex disorders at Portsmouth, OH, with services also available in Wheelersburg or Raceland, KY. The role emphasizes consistent patient education, care coordination, and high-quality outcomes.

You will review therapies, manage prior authorizations, and ensure compliance with REMS and regulatory standards while collaborating with providers and payers to optimize access and adherence.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited program
• Active pharmacist license in good standing in Ohio
• Pharmacy residency or board certification preferred
• Ambulatory or specialty experience desired

Responsabilités

• Review and manage specialty medication therapies for complex, chronic, or high-cost conditions
• Provide patient education and counseling on adherence, administration, and outcomes
• Coordinate care with providers, payers, and manufacturers for therapy access and continuity
• Oversee prior authorizations and utilization management per payer requirements
• Monitor therapy effectiveness and safety through labs, adherence metrics, and patient feedback
• Ensure REMS compliance and documentation/reporting per accreditation standards
• Support quality initiatives and outcomes reporting for specialty pharmacy metrics
