Job summary

Brixmor Property Group in Houston, TX is seeking a Specialty Leasing Representative to grow non-recurring revenues through sourcing events and short-term in-line leasing. Travel will be required and you will report to the VP, Specialty Leasing.

The role emphasizes market analysis, tenant and broker relationships, and negotiating lease terms, with a hybrid work model offering in-office and remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in specialty leasing, perm leasing either mall or open-air centers.
• Proven Track record.
• Experience in canvassing and cold calling.
• Ability to work independently.

Job description

The Specialty Leasing Representative will report to the Vice President, Specialty Leasing. The main function of this role will be to expand the non-recurring revenues in the region including the sourcing of common area events and short term in line leasing activity. Travel will be required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all specialty leasing activities including market analysis, sourcing new tenants, negotiating lease parameters, lease analysis and closing lease transactions
• Negotiate and complete lease renewals
• Develop networks; establish tenant, broker and owner relationships.
• Thoroughly understand demographics, traffic patterns and market trends
• Be knowledgeable of the specialty leasing activity within the competing shopping centers
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
• Sales experience in real estate or related field a plus.
• Requires ability to focus on many tasks and requests at once.
• Self-starter. Able to work with minimal direction in a high pressure environment.
• Ability to understand a situation and creatively, logically strategize alternatives and determine a course of action.
• Strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and good time management skills are all required competencies.
• Strong mathematical skills required to perform financial calculations
• Perform other related duties as assigned
