Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Specialty Equipment (Food Technician) at our Dearborn, MI store to maintain and repair food equipment and fixtures. You will execute routine maintenance under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, following schedules, inspecting, cleaning, and repairing facilities and equipment to uphold safety and aesthetics.

The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, documentation of work orders, and training Store Associates on proper care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must maintain an excellent driving record.
• Comfortable working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills.
• Utilize work order system to manage reactive repairs and document activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment safely.
