Floater Nurse (Veterinary Technician) – Metropolitan Veterinary Associates

MVA is a leading specialty and emergency hospital housed in a state‑of‑the‑art 25,000‑square‑foot facility. Our team includes 13 specialty departments and is built on continuous learning, mentorship, and genuine support.

What You’ll Do
  • Rotate among different specialties, including surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, emergency, and more, quickly adapting to each department’s protocols.
  • Provide hands‑on assistance during procedures—from general patient care and diagnostic workups to advanced interventions—under the guidance of senior technicians and specialists.
  • Manage a range of technical tasks, such as venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, medication administration, and patient record‑keeping.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams, learning from specialists and fellow technicians to expand your expertise across multiple areas of veterinary medicine.
  • Maintain a high level of organization, ensuring each department is stocked with necessary supplies and that equipment is ready for immediate use.
  • Embrace continuous growth, seeking out learning opportunities and applying new skills to become a highly versatile, well‑rounded technician.
Anticipated Schedule
  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation
  • Starting at $23.00/hour
