Veterinary Technician – Emergency – Daytime

What You’ll Do

As a Veterinary Emergency Technician at MVA, you’ll be on the front line of urgent patient care, working in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment. In this role, you will:

  • Triage incoming patients by assessing their medical needs and prioritizing treatments based on urgency.
  • Provide immediate critical care—administer fluids, medications, and other life‑saving interventions while closely monitoring patient status.
  • Collaborate with emergency veterinarians and fellow technicians to devise and execute treatment plans for a variety of acute and complex cases.
  • Communicate compassionately with pet parents, offering clear updates, reassurance, and empathy during stressful moments.
  • Maintain a calm, organized workspace and ensure rapid access to the supplies and equipment needed for emergency interventions.
  • Participate in ongoing training and case discussions, sharpening your skills and staying current with the latest emergency protocols and best practices.
Anticipated Schedule

This is a full‑time position with the following available schedule:

Sunday–Tuesday 8:00 am – 8:00 pm

  • Please note that some holidays are required.
Compensation
  • Starting at $22.50/hour plus a 15% shift differential on Sundays.
