Job summary

Smokey Point Smiles Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians in delivering the Perfect Patient Experience and build a Patient for Life. You will prepare patients, assist during procedures, and maintain a clean, compliant clinical environment.

The role emphasizes active listening, teamwork with specialty staff, and adherence to state guidelines for infection control and patient records, while contributing to a positive front-office experience.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED; state mandates for certification/licensure.
• Certificates/Licenses/Registrations as required by applicable state.
• Specialty Dental Assistants require a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance; driving may be required to travel between offices.

Responsibilities

• Perform functions per the state’s Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist to provide efficient, quality care.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment; keep operatories clean.
• Record patient charts and clinician’s notes in the digital patient chart.
• Support patient care by presenting treatment records, consents and health history to clinicians.
