Job summary

PDS Health in Golden, CO, is hiring a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE). You will prepare patients for exams, assist dentists, and help maintain a clean, efficient operatory.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED, and specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure, or registration.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Travel to multiple offices per day is required and reliable transportation is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform functions in accordance with the applicable state’s Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Actively participate in PPE and focus on patient care and clinical efficiency.
• Escort patients to/from the front desk and introduce them to team members.
• Communicate with front and back office to ensure schedule runs smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment; clean each operatory per infection control guidelines.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist to enable efficient care.
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supplies in each operatory.
• Keep mouths dry and clear using suction or similar devices.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
• Record patient charting and clinician notes in the digital chart.
• Present treatment records, consents, and health history to clinician.
• Ensure equipment is maintained per manufacturer guidelines.
• Work with Lead Dental Assistant to ensure supplies are available.
• Learn and demonstrate operation of equipment to others.
• Participate in daily huddles and team meetings.
• Model company culture and uphold brand standards.
• Implement the Perfect Patient Experience to gain Patients for Life.

Education

High school diploma or GED
