Your role :

As a Commercial / Specialty Casualty Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for resolving all aspects of 1st and 3rd party injury claims of low to moderate complexity, including personal lines and commercial claims. Your duties will require you to become licensed in multiple states as you handle claims across various regions nationwide.

  • Manage claims efficiently and effectively to an appropriate resolution with minimal supervision.
  • Handle liability injury claims of low to moderate complexity, including coverage, liability, and damage concerns.
  • Manage 1st party exposures such as Medical Payment coverage, PIP, Uninsured and Under-insured Motorists, and ADB (Auto-Death Benefit) claims.
  • Assist with first notice of loss calls (FNOL) and participate in the department phone queue as needed.
  • Make coverage determinations and conduct investigative work, advising customers on coverage issues.
  • Determine liability based on evidence gathered.
  • Evaluate potential for subrogation and initiate notices accordingly.
  • Develop negotiation strategies to resolve claims effectively with insureds, claimants, or their representatives.
  • Communicate case facts to supervisors or management when appropriate.

Required experience, education, and skills :

  • At least 2 years of Casualty claims experience.
  • BA/BS in business, insurance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Must acquire and maintain multiple state-specific Adjuster’s Licenses within the first 90 days of employment or transfer.
