We are actively hiring for a Commercial / Specialty Casualty Claims Adjuster!

Your role :

As a Commercial / Specialty Casualty Adjuster, you will be responsible for resolving all aspects of 1st and 3rd party injury claims of low to moderate complexity for personal lines as well as our commercial claims. Your duties will require you to become licensed in several states as you will be handling claims across multiple regions nationwide.

1. Manage all claims efficiently and effectively to an appropriate resolution with minimal supervision.
2. Handle all aspects of liability injury claims of low to moderate complexity, including coverage, liability, and damages concerns.
3. Manage 1st party exposures, including Medical Payment coverage, PIP, Uninsured Motorists, Under-insured Motorists claims, and ADB (Auto-Death Benefit) claims.
4. Assist with first notice of loss calls (FNOL) and participate in the department phone queue as needed.
5. Make coverage determinations and conduct investigative work of a complex nature, advising customers on appropriate courses of action related to coverage issues.
6. Determine liability based on evidence gathered.
7. Evaluate potential for subrogation and initiate initial subrogation notices.
8. Develop negotiation strategies to resolve claims effectively with insureds, claimants, or representatives of injured parties.
9. Communicate case facts to supervisors, managers, or committees when appropriate.

Required experience, education, and skills :

• At least 2 years of Casualty claims experience.
• BA / BS in business, insurance, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Must acquire and maintain multiple Adjuster’s Licenses (state-specific) within the first 90 days of employment or transfer.
