Job summary

Knoxville Hospital and Clinics is seeking a Specialty Clinic Scheduler to manage appointments for our specialty and respiratory clinics. This full-time role (about 36 hours/week) reports to the Director of Clinical Operations and includes chart review, VA authorizations, faxes and scanning.

Ideal candidates will have high school completion, strong customer service, and the ability to multitask while delivering exceptional patient care and coordinating with providers and staff.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service skills required.
• Mandatory to complete annual competency training.
• Healthcare/medical environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments for specialty clinic and respiratory care.
• Verify insurance status and assist with referrals/authorizations.
• Handle chart review, VA authorizations, faxes and scanning.
• Provide coordinated, patient-centered service and multitask as needed.
