Job summary

Guardian Fleet Services is seeking a Specialized Transport Driver to safely operate heavy haul tractors and trailers with GVWR over 33,000 lbs. Candidates must have at least 2 years of heavy hauling experience and hold a Commercial Class A CDL; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Quality communication, attention to detail, and adherence to DOT rules are essential. Sign-on bonuses are available for eligible in-state and out-of-state hires.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Report scheduled days on-time, in uniform and ready to work.
• Perform daily vehicle inspection and report mechanical issues.
• Follow all DOT rules and company policies for safe operations.
• Inspect tools (chains, straps, cables) and ensure equipment is safe.
• Communicate availability to Dispatcher and coordinate interstate towing/transport.

Job description

$1,500 Sign on Bonus in State and $2,500 Sign on Bonus Out of State.

The Specialized Transport Driver will safely operate a commercial industrial carrier or tractor trailer combination with a GVWR rating in excess of 33,000 lbs. have at least two (2) years of heavy hauling / commercial driving experience.

• Report each scheduled day, on-time, ready and able to work, well-groomed and in uniform.


• Identify to the Dispatcher that you are available to work.


• Perform vehicle inspection sheet daily, identifying any mechanical issues.


• Responsible to follow all Company and DOT rules and regulations regarding the safe operation of the truck.


• Inspect all supplied tools such as chains, straps, and cables to ensure equipment is in a good and safe condition.


• Report any issue that restricts the ability to complete the dispatch in a timely manner.


• Ability to drive and perform duties via interstate for towing, recovery, and/or transport.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

• Commercial Class A driver’s license - CDL for Heavy Transport Positions


• 22 Years of Age


• High school diploma or GED (preferred),


• At least two (2) years of heavy hauling / commercial driving experience

Physical Requirements

The job requires lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending and reaching, climbing. significant physical strength and stamina. Ability to lift and pull at least 50 lbs. Good hearing and vision are required.
