Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related subject from an accredited university.
• Appropriate Illinois teaching certificate (Required).
• LBS1 Certification (Required).

Responsibilities

• Plans a program of study that follows district guidelines for multiple grade levels and, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students.
• Implements researched-based teaching strategies that engage all students; acknowledging a range of abilities of students and cultural backgrounds.
• Collaborates with colleagues, students, and/or parents on a regular basis, and as requested by the administration.
• Implements current district science curriculum for students in a self contained setting that is grade level appropriate with appropriate modifications and accommodations per the IEP.
• Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law and Board policy.

Education

Bachelor's degree in related subject from accredited university (Preferred)

Appropriate Illinois teaching certificate (Required)

LBS1 Certification (Required)
