Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Teacher Bilingual/ Bilingual Elementary Science to implement the U-46 science curriculum with fidelity and improve academic achievement for all students.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Illinois Learning Standards (CCSS2014).
• Knowledge of NextGeneration Science Standards.
• Knowledge of Phenomena-driven, Inquiry instructional strategies preferred.
• Knowledge of RtI process and tiered instruction and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Plans a program of study that follows district guidelines for multiple grade levels and meets individual student needs as much as possible.
• Implements evidence-based teaching strategies that engage all students, acknowledging range of abilities and cultural backgrounds.
• Creates a learning-conducive environment and motivates students through effective communication and feedback.
• Implements current district science curriculum that is grade level appropriate.
• Plans for and guides learning towards mastery of science goals with clear targets and success criteria for lessons, units, and projects.
• Implements school improvement plans and strategies.
• Collaborates with colleagues, students, and/or parents on a regular basis and as requested by administration.
• Collaborates with Office of K-12 Science & Planetarium for support in implementing the science curriculum.
• Implements formative and summative assessments of student progress to drive instruction and communicates progress to students and parents.
• Sets high expectations for achievement and behavior and motivates students to reach their best.
