Memphis-Shelby County Schools is seeking dynamic educational champions ready to position our district as a national exemplar of education transformation. This role involves performing specialized work to assist teachers in achieving instructional objectives by working with individual students or small groups to improve skills and increase student learning. Responsibilities include reinforcing skills introduced by teachers, guiding independent, enrichment, and remedial work, and maintaining an organized, effective learning environment. The position operates under direct supervision according to set procedures.
Applicants should have an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, or at least two (2) years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours), or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test coupled with one (1) year of experience working with children in an educational setting. Certification in CPR and First Aid must be obtained or possess prior to employment.
