BNY invites applications for the position of Specialist, Paralegal II in our Legal Department.

Job Responsibilities
- Supporting the US Asset Servicing business line legal team that has responsibility for servicing registered and unregistered investment funds, investment managers, banks and other financial institutions, public funds, insurance clients, employee benefit trusts, endowments and foundations and other institutional asset owners and supporting BNY’s businesses that develop and license software products and offer related professional services.
- Assist attorneys in providing legal services to the Asset Servicing business.
- Draft, review, and revise legal agreements and correspondence specific to Asset Servicing.
- Assist with drafting, filing and maintaining department form agreements.
- Process client requests by obtaining relevant information and asking pertinent questions.
- With general oversight, conduct fact‑finding and legal or regulatory research and prepare findings for review by attorneys.
- Support outside counsel engagements, by arranging critical exchange of information and reviewing incoming documents for relevance and proper dispensation.
- Maintain, organize and update document files and electronic documentation systems to ensure all documents are easily accessible and to preserve and protect confidential client and firm information (prior experience using iManage is a plus).
- Communicate with internal and external clients, outside counsel and other BNY stakeholders.
- Perform administrative tasks as requested such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling special projects.
- Contribute to achievement of firm and department objectives.

- Bachelor’s degree.
- Paralegal certification from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience working as a paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department, preferably supporting financial services.
