BNY is seeking a Specialist, Paralegal II to join the Legal Department in Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY. The role supports the US Asset Servicing legal team and requires drafting and reviewing financial service agreements while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years as a paralegal, a bachelor’s degree, and preferably a paralegal certification. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal databases is essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Paralegal certification from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
  • Excellent research, writing, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the US Asset Servicing legal team with matters for funds, managers, banks and other clients.
  • Assist attorneys by providing legal services to the Asset Servicing business.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal agreements and correspondence for Asset Servicing.
  • Assist with drafting, filing and maintaining department form agreements.
  • Process client requests by obtaining relevant information and asking pertinent questions.
  • Conduct fact-finding and legal/regulatory research for attorneys.
