Job summary

ECOPLASTIC AMERICA CORP is seeking an IT professional to support our Register, GA facility. You will assist in planning, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure for manufacturing operations, configure and optimize ERP/MES software, and provide technical support to minimize downtime.

The role requires strong networking, system administration, and security skills, with English and Korean communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with IT infrastructure planning, implementation, and support in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of ERP and MES systems in automotive manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• IT Infrastructure Setup: assist in planning, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and workstations to support manufacturing operations.
• System Configuration: configure and optimize software and hardware to meet automotive manufacturing needs.
• Technical Support: provide troubleshooting and act as primary IT issue resolver to minimize downtime.
• Network Management: monitor LAN/WAN/VPN performance and ensure security.
• Software Management: install, configure, manage ERP and MES software.
• Data Security: implement security protocols to protect data and comply with regulations.
• Vendor Coordination: work with IT vendors to procure hardware, software, and services.
• Documentation: maintain documentation of IT systems and procedures and prepare performance reports.
• Training: provide staff training on IT systems and best practices.

Reports to: General Manager, IT

Key Responsibilities

• IT Infrastructure Setup: Assist in the planning, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and workstations, to support manufacturing operations.
• System Configuration: Configure and optimize software and hardware systems to ensure they meet the needs of the company’s automotive manufacturing processes.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT-related issues. Serve as the primary contact for resolving technical problems and ensuring minimal downtime.
• Network Management: Monitor and maintain network performance, including LAN, WAN, and VPN configurations. Ensure network security and data protection.
• Software Management: Install, configure, and manage software applications relevant to automotive manufacturing, including ERP and MES systems.
• Data Security: Implement and manage security protocols to protect sensitive company data and comply with industry regulations and standards.
• Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with IT vendors and service providers to procure necessary hardware, software, and services.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures. Prepare reports on IT performance and issues.
• Training: Provide training and support to staff on IT systems and best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing IT infrastructure, network configurations, and system administration. Experience with automotive manufacturing software (ERP, MES) is a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Korean. Ability to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a startup environment and adapt to evolving technological and business needs.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are advantageous.
• Proficiency in Python:
• Development experience preferred
• Degree in Computer Science (or related field) OR hands-on project experience"
