Job summary

Eastern Kentucky University is seeking a Specialist, Grounds Zone to assist the Grounds Zone Foreperson in supervising and completing assigned grounds maintenance tasks on Richmond Campus. The position reports to the Grounds Zone Foreperson and supports routine maintenance, mowing, trimming, debris removal, and seasonal tasks to keep campus grounds at a high standard.

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience; FLSA non-exempt, full-time

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of related grounds maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• 60% - Supervise and ensure proper maintenance of all grounds in the assigned zone.
• 30% - Perform additional grounds maintenance tasks throughout the year.
• 10% - Assist with other duties as required.

Job Summary / Basic Functions

A Grounds Zone Specialist assists the Grounds Zone Foreperson in overseeing and ensuring completion of assigned grounds maintenance and operational tasks and includes performance of various tasks as required to maintain a high level of care inside assigned zone.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: One year related experience
