Specialist, Digital Giving

Philanthropy Full Time Washington, DC, US

Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually

Position Overview

The Specialist, Digital Giving executes and optimizes email fundraising and donor communications for the National Park Foundation’s Annual Giving program, including fundraising, cultivation, stewardship, and engagement campaigns for Annual Fund and Champions Society donors and prospects.

This role is responsible for managing day-to-day email production, audience segmentation, donor journeys, testing, and performance reporting to drive donor acquisition, retention, revenue growth, and lifetime value.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Digital Giving and working closely with the other Digital Specialist, who focuses on paid fundraising ads and SMS efforts, this role helps implement data-driven digital fundraising strategies that strengthen donor relationships and maximize philanthropic support for America’s national parks.

This position directly supports a digital fundraising program generating approximately $3 million annually and plays a critical role in executing revenue-producing email campaigns, optimizing donor communications, and leveraging analytics to improve fundraising performance and constituent engagement.

About the National Park Foundation

The National Park Foundation (NPF), in partnership with the National Park Service, generates private support and builds strategic partnerships to protect and enrich America’s national parks for present and future generations.

In 1872, America did something unprecedented—it set aside more than one million acres of wilderness for the benefit and enjoyment of all people. For more than 150 years, private philanthropy and citizen support have played a vital role in preserving, protecting, and enhancing our national parks. Established by Congress in 1967, the National Park Foundation carries forward this legacy as the official nonprofit partner of the National Park Service.

Today, NPF is a growing organization with a national impact, working to ensure that parks remain vibrant, accessible, and inspiring for generations to come. Learn more at www.nationalparks.org .

Why This Role Matters

The email channel is one of NPF’s most important fundraising and donor engagement tools, generating approximately $3 million in annual revenue and reaching hundreds of thousands of supporters nationwide. The Digital Specialist serves as a key member of the Philanthropy team, helping to deliver personalized, donor-centered communications that inspire action, deepen engagement, and generate critical unrestricted funding that supports national parks across the country.
