Job summary

Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA Inc. in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking an experienced cost accounting professional to join our finance team. You will support cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, partnering with manufacturing and leadership to identify cost drivers and improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities include creating actual vs. budget templates, preparing transaction reports, supporting monthly closes, and developing cost targets.

Qualifications

• CPA or CMA recommended.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Experience with MS Excel.
• Good communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Great analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion.
• Collaborate with international team members from Mazda and Toyota or, other customers.
• Responsible for creating actual vs. budget templates and analysis.
• Prepare and analyze transaction reports.
• Prepare monthly inventory audits post SOP.
• Responsible for supporting cost improvement management activities.
• Responsible for tracking and visualizing manufacturing actual vs. budget cost.
• Study budget cost and lead PDCA activities.
• Collaborate with all accounting functions and manufacturing departments.
• Complete monthly close activities related to costs.
• Create cost targets for variable accounts.
• Cross train other specialists as needed.
• Support establishing the foundation of accounting and finance department such as policy setting and creating templates.
• Create standardized work and manuals for the operation and job above.
• Ability to work outside of typical business hours and travel as needed (domestically and internationally).

What You Bring

What Will Set You Apart

• 2 years of Accounting or Production/Industrial Engineering experience
• Experience with PeopleSoft Financials or SAP/ERP
• Experience and knowledge of accounting regulations (GAAP)
• Excel experience (formulas, look-ups, tables)
• Experience with MS Word, Power Point, Outlook, Access Database

Hiring Range Salary

$84,581.12 - $108,270.98

• We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your personal compensation in the market range.
• Our compensation structure consists of an annual salary and a yearly discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
