Job summary

Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA Inc. seeks a leader to oversee budgeting and forecasting, standardize processes, and coordinate planning cycles across shops.

You will train stakeholders, align with Japanese partners, and deliver accurate financial reporting while promoting teamwork and inclusion. This role requires hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft), advanced Excel and Power BI, and a detail-oriented approach to month-end closes and policy templates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated project management experience with budgeting or forecasting, and/or manufacturing.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365).
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or PeopleSoft Financials.
• Strong communication skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead all budgeting and forecasting activities (annual, quarterly, monthly).
• Develop standardized budget templates and forecasting processes.
• Train executives and managers on budgeting processes.
• Coordinate with Japanese partners to align budget/forecasting.
• Support month-end close activities and policy development.
• Produce and update weekly leadership reports for board review.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Lead the organization's budgeting and forecasting function by developing standardized processes and tools, coordinating planning cycles, training stakeholders, collaborating with Japanese partners, supporting accounting and finance operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and cross-functional communication. As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also: Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion. Work closely with Japanese team members from Mazda and Toyota. Lead and coordinate all annual, quarterly, and monthly budgeting and forecasting activities. Responsible for establishing standardized budget system for all shops. Responsible for creating budget and forecast templates for managers. Create and implement schedules for annual budget and quarterly forecast completion. Train all executives and managers on budget process. Cross train other specialists as backups. Kaizen budget process and all related issues. Produce and update weekly leader report for A&F OMDS Board. Lead communication of changes to budget and forecast changes. Coordinate efforts to resolve any budget issues. Support establishing the foundation of accounting and finance department such as support setting policy, creating templates. Support month end close activities as needed. Create standardized work and manuals for the operation and job above. Ability to work outside of typical business hours and travel as needed (domestically and internationally).

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED
• Demonstrated project management work experience with budgeting or forecasting, and/or manufacturing
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of Products
• Experience with Major Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) Systems, such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or PeopleSoft Financials
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Hiring Range Salary: $106,645.76 - $136,515.59 We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your personal compensation in the market range. Our compensation structure consists of an annual salary and a yearly discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
