Job summary

Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA Inc. is seeking a qualified accounting/finance professional in Huntsville, Alabama. This role focuses on cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to support operational decision-making and financial performance.

You will prepare reports, analyze actual vs. budget costs, and collaborate with manufacturing and accounting teams to drive cost improvements and ensure accurate month-end closes.

Qualifications

• CPA or CMA is required.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience with MS Excel are expected.

Responsibilities

• Support cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Create actual vs. budget templates and perform analysis.
• Prepare and analyze transaction reports and month-end close activities.
• Analyze inventory and drive cost improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with accounting and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate cost accounting.

Partners with manufacturing and functional leadership to understand cost drivers, identify financial risks and improvement opportunities, and provide actionable insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.

What You do

• Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion
• Collaborate with international team members from Mazda and Toyota or, other customers
• Responsible for creating actual vs. budget templates and analysis
• Prepare and analyze transaction reports
• Prepare monthly inventory audits post SOP
• Responsible for supporting cost improvement management activities
• Responsible for tracking and visualizing manufacturing actual vs. budget cost
• Study budget cost and lead PDCA activities
• Collaborate with all accounting functions and manufacturing departments
• Complete monthly close activities related to costs
• Create cost targets for variable accounts
• Cross train other specialists as needed
• Support establishing the foundation of accounting and finance department such as policy setting and creating templates
• Create standardized work and manuals for the operation and job above
• Ability to work outside of typical business hours and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)

Hiring Range Salary: $84,581.12 - $108,270.98 We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your personal compensation in the market range. Our compensation structure consists of an annual salary and a yearly discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
