Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation is seeking a Charitable Operations professional in Westlake, TX, to support the Schwab Charitable Fund. You will handle donor-advised fund transactions, coordinate with DAFGiving360, and ensure accurate, timely processing in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Role requires 3+ years in client service or brokerage operations, and proficiency in money-movement processes. Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in client service or operations with brokerage/financial industry preferred.
  • Proficient in at least two move money processes required.
  • Experience working with multiple systems in a dual monitor environment and intermediate computer skills (including Microsoft Office products) are required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional, prompt, and thorough service to clients who hold donor-advised fund accounts, ensuring proactive solutions to work items.
  • Educate and communicate next steps, problem resolution, and risk mitigation when handling expedited or escalated work items with DAFGiving360.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy, assess risk, and make sound business decisions while resolving work items on first touch when possible.
  • Adapt to meet critical cut-off times or high-volume processing and switch gears as needed.
  • Communicate effectively via multiple channels with peers, leaders, and other business partners to ensure timely handling and risk minimization.

The Charitable Operations team is part of the Banking Operations organization. We are the operation vehicle and a highly collaborative partner of the Schwab Charitable Fund, which is an independent public charity created to help increase charitable giving in the United States by offering the flexible giving solution of a donor-advised fund account.

Charitable Operations is entrusted to handle a large spectrum of daily operational functions to support the Schwab Charitable Fund business such as money movements by way of internal transfers, wires, and check disbursements, reallocation and pool fund trades, account maintenance, and other complex tasks pertinent to this niche role. As a specialist, you will belong to a team that is imperative to the daily operations of Schwab Charitable Fund and expected to process time-sensitive, high-risk client transactions. Success in this fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environment requires strong attention to detail and the ability to build relationships across the firm.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Provide exceptional, prompt, and thorough service to our clients who hold donor-advised fund accounts by ensuring thorough and proactive solutions to their work items. These clients are often high net worth or ultra-high net worth individuals.
  • Provide prompt and thorough service to DAFGiving360 via multiple channels in order to effectively communicate and educate next-steps, problem resolution, and risk mitigation when it comes to expedited and/or escalated work items.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy, assess risk, and make sound business decisions while resolving work items on first-touch as often as possible and with a high degree of efficiency.
  • Effectively switch gears throughout the day to assist with meeting critical cut-off times or high-volume processing.
  • Communicate effectively via multiple channels with peers, leaders, and other business partners to ensure items are handled expediently in order to minimize risk. This may include written and/or verbal communications.
What you have

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in client service or operations with brokerage/financial industry preferred
  • Proficient in at least two move money processes required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability toanticipate issues and to design appropriate solutions
  • Self-motivation, able to work independently to bring complex cases to conclusion
  • Experience working with multiple systems in a dual monitor environment, and intermediate computer skills (including Microsoft Office products) are required.
  • Flexible and willing to work extended hours/overtime during the year-end peak season (mid- November to mid-January)

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
