About The Role

Uber Direct is transforming delivery worldwide by enabling brands to leverage Uber's fleet of couriers to offer same-day delivery through their websites or apps. We have partnered with merchants across various verticals, including Restaurants, Grocery, Convenience, and Retail. We are seeking a Specialist Account Executive to drive our business growth.

You will act as a trusted partner to restaurant merchants, understanding their needs and helping them grow through our platform. Your responsibilities include managing deals from discovery to negotiation and closure, collaborating with operations, product, and account management teams.

We seek a proactive individual with a 'Go Get It' attitude, capable of working with key account owners to advance Uber Direct. You will partner with our Territory Teams to acquire new business and expand existing accounts.

What You'll Do

  1. Partner with Territory Account Managers and Account Executives to develop a merchant pipeline, build relationships, and negotiate partnerships.
  2. Work with your Territory and Operations teams to enable them to identify, pitch, and negotiate opportunities, managing complex deals end-to-end.
  3. Identify merchant requirements, develop proposals, and manage contract negotiations to establish strong, sustainable relationships.
  4. Serve as the main contact for partners, addressing pain points, product inquiries, and conflicts.
  5. Maintain proactive communication with prospects via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
  6. Develop expertise in the Online Food Delivery vertical and your territory's market trends.
  7. Travel up to 20% quarterly for conferences, pitches, and reviews.

Basic Qualifications

  1. 3+ years experience in sales, account management, or business development.
  2. Resourceful, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  3. Ability to evaluate business opportunities and understand prospective buyers.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience working with multi-unit brands or organizations.
  2. Experience in food delivery or third-party marketplaces at a high-growth tech company.
  3. Experience engaging with executive-level partners.
  4. Strong analytical skills to use data for opportunity assessment and influencing decisions.
  5. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
