Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC is seeking a Senior Special Track Inspector to perform technical inspections of special track work for MTA/NYCT projects. You will verify dimensions, QA procedures, and compliance with spec standards.

Candidates should have five or more years in track inspection, plus the ability to read engineering drawings and apply AWS/ASNT inspection techniques. Meticulous reporting and documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in special track inspections or related QA for railroad projects.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of AWS and ASNT inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Inspect special track work manufactured to Authority drawings and specs.
• Verify precise dimensions, clearances, and quality requirements.
• Inspect track materials including nuts, bolts, washers, and fasteners.
• Review engineering drawings, specs, and inspection docs.
• Identify and document nonconforming materials.
• Prepare inspection reports and support material acceptance decisions.
