Job summary

7-Eleven is hiring a Special Projects Technician I to join our team and help keep stores running smoothly. You will complete point-of-sale upgrades, fuel dispenser upgrades, and other specialized projects.

The role requires 1+ years in general repairs, travel up to 50%+, and a high school diploma or GED. We offer a sign-on bonus up to $3,000, comprehensive benefits, a 401(k) plan, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities to grow with our brand.

Responsibilities

• Complete point of sale upgrades and installations, fuel dispenser upgrades and other specialized projects.
• Serve on a strike team to support markets with service calls during staffing shortages.
• Manage and fulfill orders related to plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues.
• Maintain parts inventory and complete daily reports to support operational efficiency.
• Train technicians, prioritize work orders, and conduct basic structural maintenance.

Your Day-to-Day: As a Special Projects Technician I, you’ll:

• Complete point of sale upgrades and installations, fuel dispenser upgrades and other specialized projects
• Serve on a strike team to support markets with service calls during In-House Maintenance technician staffing shortages
• Manage and fulfill orders related to plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues
• Maintain parts inventory and complete daily reports to support operational efficiency
• Perform additional duties such as training technicians, prioritize assigned work orders, and conduct basic structural maintenance

What You Bring To The Table

• Travel and Scheduling: The ability to travel 50% of the time or greater with the ability to work flexible hours defined by the project
• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Experience: 1+ years in general repairs and maintenance
• Identification: Valid Driver’s License (with real ID or equivalent for air travel)
• Skills: Show leadership, peer-to-peer tech support, effective communication, handle stretch assignments, facility location ownership and time management
