Job summary

7-Eleven is hiring a Special Projects Technician I to support store maintenance, upgrades, and large-scale projects across multiple locations. You will travel to sites, lead stretch assignments, and help keep our stores running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in repairs, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. The role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a large retailer network.

Qualifications

• Travel up to 50% or more with flexible hours per project

Responsibilities

• Complete POS upgrades and installations, fuel dispenser upgrades and other projects
• Support markets on service calls during staffing shortages
• Manage and fulfill orders related to plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance
• Maintain parts inventory and complete daily reports
• Train technicians, prioritize work orders, and perform basic structural maintenance

We’re hiring immediately for a Special Projects Technician I to join our team and help keep our stores running smoothly. Whether it’s ensuring equipment is maintained or tackling large-scale projects and upgrades, your expertise will shine in this dynamic role.

Responsibilities

• Complete POS upgrades and installations, fuel dispenser upgrades and other specialized projects
• Serve on a strike team to support markets with service calls during In-House Maintenance technician staffing shortages
• Manage and fulfill orders related to plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues
• Maintain parts inventory and complete daily reports to support operational efficiency
• Perform additional duties such as training technicians, prioritizing assigned work orders, and conducting basic structural maintenance

Qualifications

• Travel and Scheduling: The ability to travel 50% of the time or greater with the ability to work flexible hours defined by the project
• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Experience: 1+ years in general repairs and maintenance
• Identification: Valid Driver’s License (with real ID or equivalent for air travel)
• Skills: Leadership, peer-to-peer tech support, effective communication, ability to handle stretch assignments, facility location ownership and time management
