Job summary

7-Eleven, Inc. is seeking a Special Projects Technician I to join our field maintenance team. You will complete POS upgrades, fuel dispenser upgrades, and other specialized projects to keep stores running smoothly.

You will serve on a strike team during maintenance staffing shortages and handle orders for plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and 1+ year in repairs; travel up to 50% with flexible hours.

• 1+ years in general repairs and maintenance.
• Valid Driver’s License (with real ID or equivalent for air travel).

Responsibilities

• Complete POS upgrades and installations, fuel dispenser upgrades and other specialized projects.
• Serve on a strike team to support markets with service calls during staffing shortages.
• Manage and fulfill orders related to plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues.
• Maintain parts inventory and complete daily reports for operational efficiency.
• Perform additional duties such as training technicians and prioritizing work orders.

Your Day-to-Day: As a Special Projects Technician I, you’ll:

• Complete POS upgrades and installations, fuel dispenser upgrades and other specialized projects
• Serve on a strike team to support markets with service calls during In-House Maintenance technician staffing shortages
• Manage and fulfill orders related to plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues
• Maintain parts inventory and complete daily reports to support operational efficiency
• Perform additional duties such as training technicians, prioritize assigned work orders, and conduct basic structural maintenance

What You Bring to the Table:

• Travel and Scheduling: The ability to travel 50% of the time or greater with the ability to work flexible hours defined by the project
• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Experience: 1+ years in general repairs and maintenance
• Identification: Valid Driver’s License (with real ID or equivalent for air travel)
• Skills: Show leadership, peer-to-peer tech support, effective communication, handle stretch assignments, facility location ownership and time management
