Job summary

PremiStar is looking for an experienced HVAC installer to support the Small Projects Lead-Man in completing assigned small jobs. The role requires readiness to travel, work extended hours, and operate in various weather conditions while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Ideal candidates will hold a Texas TDLR and EPA card, possess a Texas driver’s license, and bring 5+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience, along with blueprints interpretation skills and HVAC troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Current TDLR (Texas) and EPA card required.
• Texas driver’s license and ability to drive all company vehicles; must be insurable.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and corporate policy.
• Ability to draw and install complex duct systems.
• Ability to install and run copper piping for refrigeration systems.
• Ability to install and run PVC and copper for condensate lines.
• 5+ years in commercial/light commercial HVAC installation.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and submittals.
• Experience in HVAC troubleshooting.

• Flexibility to work outside normal hours and weekends.
• Regular travel with some overnight stays.

Responsible for organizing, completing, and assisting the Small Projects Lead-man in any small jobs/projects that are assigned to the team.

Initiative, decisiveness, tact, integrity, judgment, leadership skills and technical knowledge are essential to achieving the Capstone objectives for this position. Job-related contact can occur virtually with all demographic groups, with the majority of daily contacts being with Capstone employees and departmental customers.

Representative Duties Include:

• Assist Small Project Lead-Man in completion of any small jobs that are assigned to the team.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.
• Regular travel requirements with some overnight travel.
• Be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Be able to climb and work from various heights when required.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
• Elicits and verifies punch list and warranty items are completed in a timely manner.

Job Qualifications:

• Possess a current TDLR and EPA card with the State of Texas.
• Possess current Texas driver’s license and the ability to drive all types of vehicles in the corporate fleet within six months of initial employment. Incumbent must be insurable by current insurance carrier.
• Be able to comprehend and implement applicable federal, state, and local government laws, rules and regulations, as well as corporate policy and philosophy.
• Able to draw and install complicated duct systems.
• Able to install and run copper piping for refrigeration systems.
• Able to install and run PVC and copper for condensate lines.
• 5 or more years of experience in commercial/light commercial installation of HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read and understand complex blueprints and submittals.
• Experience in HVAC troubleshooting
